Data Days 2025

Join Data Days: a no-BS, two-day conference for data practitioners, tech thinkers, and AI builders. Expect sharp insights, hands-on sessions, and honest conversations about what’s working — and what’s not — in data today.

Apply now.

Data Days 2025 Overview

Day 1: Cold Start

We'll kick Data Days off with half a day meant to break the ice. After a number keynotes and panels, you'll get to know each other in subject specific discussion rounds where you get to talk through questions and problems with your peers, only to continue those chats on a boat ride on the Spree (drinks included 😏).

Schedule

09:00
09:30

Opening

Grab a coffee, find your people, and settle in — we’ll kick off Data Days together with a warm welcome, low pressure, and just the right amount of caffeine.

09:45
11:00

Keynotes & Panels

We’re kicking off with hard-won lessons and honest reflections. What actually works after shipping over 100 data projects? How do you build data apps people actually use — and trust? From internal experiments to full-on client-facing products, we’ll dig into the patterns, missteps, and breakthroughs that matter when building for impact.

11:20
12:30

Discussion Rounds

Intimate, no-filter group talks on real challenges and smart solutions. These sessions are for everyone in the room — not just speakers. Expect active, honest discussions on what’s working (and what’s not) across core topics like building data products, measuring impact, ML relevance, and the (post-)modern data stack. You’ll share your experiences, hear from peers, and leave with sharper ideas.

12:30
13:25

Get-to-know Lunch

Grab a bite, meet new people, and keep the conversations going — no agenda, just good food and good company.

14:15
17:15

Boat Tour

Let's gather some field data: we'll set sail onto the Spree to cruise, chat, sip, and snack with peers — bring your best stories and sunglasses.

17:15

End of Day 1

First day is coming to an end. See you tomorrow for more...

Day 2: Hot Takes

Having solved the cold start problem, we'll continue Data Days with some spicy hot takes - whether that's in the form of our estemeed speakers and panelists, in the second episode of our discussion rounds, or in our two keynote tracks, we're sure you'll find something you'll disagree with!

Schedule

09:00
10:00

Opening

Back on land, but still riding the wave from yesterday’s boat chats. We’ll ease into Day 2 with coffee, reconnect, and get ready for a round of spicier takes and deeper dives.

10:00
11:15

Keynotes & Panels

We’ll kick off with a panel on The Future of Valuable AI Deployment , what’s real, what’s not, and what’s actually driving impact. Followed by a keynote on The Semantic Layer and Its Role in AI, exploring how this often-overlooked layer shapes everything from infra to outcomes.

11:30
12:30

Discussion Rounds

Let's look forward and not only discuss our current struggles, but also what opportunities we're anticipating in the years to come. How will data teams look like in ten years? Will dashboards survive the era of chatbots? What’s next after warehouses, lakehouses, and icebergs? How do we scale smart — and when does optimisation become technical debt? And with AI flooding the stack… what do we build, and what do we buy? Discuss!

12:30
14:00

Lunch

Same deal, new faces (or deeper chats with old ones). Good food, good company — let’s keep it going.

14:00
14:50

Tracks' Keynotes

Tracks:

  • Track #1: AI isn’t new, but putting it to work is still a mess. This track dives into the gritty realities of making AI useful (and not just shiny). Expect smart takes on GenAI meets data engineering, what sustainable ML deployment really looks like, and why Trade Republic doesn't do what you think.
  • Track #2: BI's the Future: Real value still comes from driving the business forward. In this track, we’re getting back to the fundamentals — metrics that matter, activating data that works, and structuring teams to actually deliver. From old-school orgs to high-growth bets, it’s BI without the bullshit.
16:30

Closing

Two days, plenty of ideas. A quick wrap-up to reflect, say thanks, and head out with fresh thoughts (and maybe new friends).
